Mesh Removal and Recurrent Prolapse Repairs

Complications from vaginal mesh surgery may include erosion or exposure of mesh, painful intercourse, abnormal urination patterns, difficulty emptying the bladder or bowel, leakage of urine, fistulas, or recurrence of prolapse (repair failure). If these events occur, it is important to obtain proper evaluation and understand treatment options fully. While these surgeries are often complex and riskier than primary repairs, Dr. Kiley is skilled at performing mesh removals, revisions, and secondary prolapse repairs when needed.
